I wanted to use some French expression as my subject, but I don't speak French and I couldn't find one fitting on the internet (though I didn't look for very long).

So, I haven't posted much on here lately. I haven't had the time. I've been making trips on short notice (sometimes within 24-48 hours) back home--as in San Francisco. My grandfather, to whom I am quite close is seriously ill and I've been taking care of him in the hospital during my visits. He's not doing well at all.

While down here in Southern California (don't worry I love far from the fires) I have been caught up doing other things. I'm working on some commissioned graphic design work, but I'm not sure if I should post them. I doubt I'll run into any legal issues...but perhaps when the project is completely done, I shall.

Hopefully, I'll find some time to really dedicate myself to posting because up until my Night Elf drawing, I hadn't really used my Wacom tablet as much as I should (and I've had it for several years now!). But thanks to inspiration from Beowulf716, I'm now very anxious to get back to drawing!

Since I've joined deviantART, my skills have improved greatly. I've learned several very useful techniques that I'm itching to put to more use. I will do all I can to make sure I can get back into the swing of things by mid-November. If all goes well, I can get back to my plan of posting a work of art daily. *crosses fingers*
